Weasels Gregg, Tom, and Weasel in Training Carson headed North the Friday after Thanksgiving for one more crack at a big one. They saw quite a few deer, but no monster buck to shoot. Weasel Gregg took a doe with Carson in the stand with him, just so Carson could experience being in on a kill. He enjoyed it, but declined the opportunity to gut it. They had pretty good weather for late season hunting and had a nice time. The final total for camp including bow season was 4 bucks and 1 doe. Once again we will all enjoy venison brats, sausage bologna etc. over the coming year. Our deer population is good and should improve as the new growth from our logging operation takes hold. We are seeing a few grouse and hopefully that population is improving also. Gregg and Tom closed things up for the year and put the mice in charge till Spring. Until then, life is good, even better if you are a Weasel.
