First Bow Hunt of the year 9/22 thru 9/24

Weasels Larry, Gregg, Ryan, Ashlyn and Carson headed North to Camp to significantly put a dent in the deer herd. When the dust lifted only Gregg had something to show for our efforts. On Sat morning he connected with a beautiful 8 pointer. Not only did it have an impressive rack, but it had a very large body, definitely one of the largest, if not the largest taken at Camp Weasel. The rest of us saw a few does, but no bucks. We did not have good weather and it rained Sat afternoon thru Sunday morning. We had a nice visit with friends at the Creek on Fri night and stopped by to show our neighbor Danny the buck on Sat morning. As always the food, company and BS were excellent. Next trip will be for the youth hunt Oct 8 & 9. Lots of nice bucks showing up on camera, so Carson is pretty excited. Until next time, remember life is good, even better if yor are a weasel.
