Turkey HuntSpring 2024

The fact that I've kind of dragged my feet on the turkey report is a pretty good indication of how things went. For those of you not familiar with my turkey hunting, . After shooting more than 40 Toms over the years in southern Wis I decided to concentrate on trying to shoot the first one at Camp Weasel. ,Needless to say, things haven't gone well. Last year we were getting quite a few on our cameras, and I did talk to a few from my my blind during Spring and Fall seasons. This Spring they disappeared from the cameras and I didn't see or hear one. I'm still determined to shoot one on our property, but have to admit I wasa little disappointed this Spring. Weasels Jon and I went out 3 times during the 2nd period with no action at all. We went up again the 5th period and once again never saw or heard a bird. Oh well, maybe this fall. We enjoyed our trips and had a good time at the Creek visiting with friends and had a nice visit with with neighbor Danny. Until next time, remember that life is good, even better if you're aweasel.
