Weasels Larry, Ryan and Sammy headed north early Sat. morning to do a little work at the camp. While I jumped on the mower and started cutting grass, Ryan went to work in the cabin. He installed the new kitchen light and then began putting trim up in the kitchen. We took a brief time out to head to the Creek for a couple of beverages which really hit the spot in the 90 degree weather. Ryan finished the trim, while I finished mowing the field. We then worked together installing 4 new 14 foot rafters in the steel shed. Prior to putting the tractor away for the night Ryan went down the 4-wheeler trail to the pond and the woods, and cleared the brush which had fallen in the trail. I then mowed the trails off for the up coming bow season. After an excellent dinner of ribeyes and sweetcorn, we built a camp fire and proceeded to burn lots of garbage and crap which had been cluttering the cabin. We moved a little furniture around in the cabin to make room for an extra chair we brought up and called it a night. Sunday morning we cooked up an excellent breakfast if sausage and eggs. While he did the dishes, I cleaned the outhouse. This completed our scheduled work and after a little bow and shotgun practice by Ryan we headed home. The Creek was a little quit this trip, but we did have a nice visit with the Pearsons and Marlin. Brooke was tending bar so we got caught up with what was going on with her also. Didn;t see much for game other than another dead bear on the way up. Next trip will be the annual save Gene trip the first week in Sept.
