Weasel Gregg met Daffy and I at camp Friday morning. I had a turkey tag, but only hunted a couple of hours due to an extreme abundance of mosquitos and ticks. We didn't see or hear a turkey in our woods the entire trip. There was plenty of work to do. Gregg spread 50# of red clover seed on our logging roads and food plots. While he was doing that I mowed the lawn and field for the first tiume this year. We had a bunch of split wood that we had covered with a tarp and moved it into our wood shed. we are in really good shape for fire wood the next couple of years.Next trip we will be replacing our 4 wheeler and tractor shed which was destroyed by the heavy snow last winter. We sized up where to put it and cleared the working area, basically it will be right next to the old one to make it easy to transferr equipment, decoys etc. to the new location. We did take time to attend the meat raffle at the Creek on Sat. but most of our friends were off on an ATV run somewhere so we didn't get to visit. Stopped in to visit with our neighbor Danny but his house was dark and he wasn't around. As usual the canp venison and brats were delicious and the steak dinner and old fashions at County Line weren't too bad either. Well thats all she wrote, next time hopefully it will be a report on a beautiful new shed. Until then, remember life is good even better if you are a weasel.
