Weasels in training visit

After a nice weekend at a cottage over on Pipe Lake, Weasels in training Kaitlyn and Lauren accompanied me over to Shack for one last night of R&R before making the trek back to Green Bay. We had nice visits with Larry Root and Gully, along with Rodney and Wendy up at the Creek. We tried to visit Roxy and Oscar, but they weren't home, so we stole some fresh sweetcorn instead. Not wanting to dirty any dishes, we had our supper at the Creek and went for a drive to look for deer. Not many were seen. We saw a doe and two fawns just west of the Big Marsh, and that was about it. We saw 7 deer all weekend. The highlight of the visit for the girls, besides being chased by the rabid skeeters, was seeing the dead bear just North of Creek on E. It was a nice night there, but no deer came to clearing, and we did manage to escape the storms that pounded Cumberland on Saturday night, and south of the Cabin on Sunday night. We did manage to pick a few apples, which the girls ate for their breakfast. I really showed off my cooking skills to them on this visit. Next trip for me is hopefully the bowhunting opener.
