2025 Rut Hunt

Four excited Weasels headed north for this years rut hunt. Weasels Larry,Gregg,Ryan, and Tom all planned on killing one of those monster bucks we had been seeing on camera. Apparently the monster bucks had different plans. Gregg came the closest when he hit a nice 10 pointer with half its rack missing. Huge body and definitely a trophy. Unfortunately the boys trailed it from 3 til 6, but were unable to catch up to it. It had bled heavily and could have been recovered had it not went across the road into an area we could not hunt or enter. Ryan took the prize for most bucks missed with 2. Got to watch those branches Ryan. Tom and I just enjoyed the scenery and squirrels. Oh well, wait til rifle season. As usual the trip was great, good food, lots of laughs and good friends. until next time,. Life is good, even better if you're a weasel.
