Weasels Larry, Woz and Daffy headed North for a quick overnighter. I had been told by Weaselette Jan, that the completed deer stand sitting in our driveway could not stay there indefinitely, Woz agreed to ride up with me and help me unload it at the cabin. We left Thursday morning and arrived about 1:30 in the afternoon. The stand was quickly unloaded and we went for a walk in the woods so I could show Woz where my bow stand was. I let him use it Thursday night while I used Ryans. It was very windy and we didn't see a thing. There were two nice rubs as you entered the woods on the way to my stand. We came in at dusk and headed up to County Line for their steak special and a couple of drinks. Excellent idea. Got back to the cabin, killed a bottle of wine and went to bed. Had a great time. Not much work to do and pretty good weather. Am looking forward to the rut hunt in early Nov. we desperately need a little venison for the freezer.
