Opening Camp for 2025

Weasels Larry,Gregg,Ryan,Carson and our newest weasel Chad headed north to do some spring chores and have some fun. We had 2 main goals in mind , which were to remove our old steel shed and get our new gas grill up and running. Gregg and Carson arrived Fri nite and got the fire going and the mice scattered. Larry,Ryan, and Chad came up Sat morning. After a quick lunch we got our priorities straightened out and headed to the Crick for the meat raffle and a couple of beverages. Had a nice visit with the Roots and Peales and we were relatively successful with the raffle, winning 3 meats and 2 free drinks. Sat nite and early Sun morning the guys did a nice job of disassembling the shed under my close supervision. Chad had to go home Sun so he hauled the scraps back to Janesville for the dump. New weasel Chads orientation went well. He easily learned how to put a log in the fire weasel style, He wasn't sure on the proper method of applying moss to the compact toilet, seemed to grasp how not to do it. Sunday afternoon Ryan gave a demonstration on how to assemble a gas grill. It was rather lengthy, but we got it going and broke it in with a bunch of Brats. As always the camp was full of laughter and good times. Some good food and beverages were consumed along with some fine beverages. Had a good talk with our neighbor Danny and all in all couldn't have asked for a nicer trip. Next trip spring turkeys and a little work on the trail cameras.
