On Feb. 6 Weasels Larry and Woz headed north primarily to pick up my venison sausage which was ready at Louies Finer Meats. We arrived in Cumberland in the midst of a blizzard but a quick check of the weather radar showed it would end in about an hour. The driveway to the shack was plowed nicely, but because of the storm in progress we decided to walk in from the gate. The shack was 15 degrees when we entered and we quickly got a fire going in the wood burner. A check of my 15 plus mouse traps netted just one mouse. Apparently my peppermint oil project is working quite well. Once the stove was filled and burning nicely, we had no choice but to retreat to Indian Creek while the cabin warmed up. The big suprise at the Creek was that Brooke was back bartending. She is only working there Wednesdays, but its sure to help turn business around. Saw many friends there and had a great time. Went back to the cabin to find Danny had plowed it out. Refueled and headedto County Line for supper. Picked veniso up in the morning and headed home. One great trip.
