Weasels Larry, Charlie and Sammy headed north Tuesday morning for what was supposed to be a lawn cutting and bluegill fishing trip. Turned out to be a rainy mess. I planned on mowing the lawn Tues. afternoon while Charlie got the boat ready for Largon Lake. However it started raining half way thru the lawn mowing, and never quit till we went home. I did finish in the rain, put on some rubber boots and planted 35 pounds of plot seed in the clearing. Perfect time to plant with all the rain. We did have a nice visit at the creek, with all the locals. Due to the inclimate weather all anyone could do was hit the bar for some socializing. Saw several does in the clearing at all hours of the day. They probably have fawns hid near the clearing. Sammy had fun chasing rabbits and red squirrels, but that was about as exciting as it got. Did get a new battery in the Cub Cadet so it should be good for a couple more years. Next trip late June when the new flooring goes down. Sure hope it doesn't rain for that one.
