Youth Gun Hunt

This years youth hunt was not as rewarding as we had hoped. Four weasels headed North intending to fill the Buck pole. Youth hunter Weasel Carson was the only one to succeed. Weasels Larry, Gregg, and Ryan didn't do so well, although Weasel Ryan came close. He hit A nice buck a little low in the brisket area and had only a greasy arrow to show for his efforts. Weasel Carson had to trail his nice spike for a couple of hours before finding it hiding right along our cabin driveway. As usual the trip to the Creek for fish on Friday and the meat raffle on Sat. were great. Weasel Ryan won the 50/50 and pocketed $75 big ones. We got to visit with our Northwoods friends and as always had a great weekend. Next trip the much awaited rut hunt when we all expect to fill our tags. Until then life is good, even better if your a weasel.
